Millie Bobby Brown is addressing the elephant in the room.
The Stranger Things actress has spoken out about the current state of her relationship with David Harbor following shocking reports that he was bullying her on the set of the hit Netflix show.
“We’ve been doing that for the last 10 years,” Brown, 21, told The Hollywood Reporter when asked why it was so important for her co-stars to come together amid the accusations.
“So we’ve always been united on that,” she added. “We love this show more than anything, and we value our friendships more than anything.”
The pair made headlines earlier this month following reports that the “Enola Holmes” star had made allegations of bullying and harassment against Harbor, 50, ahead of filming season 5 of “Stranger Things” in early 2024.
“There were pages and pages of accusations,” a source told the Daily Mail, but the “Black Widow” star clarified that she has not been accused of sexual misconduct. “The investigation continued for months.”
Sources also claim that Brown was on set with a rep during the filming of the final episode of the Netflix series, but executive producer Shawn Levy later told THR that he had seen some “highly inaccurate” reports about the scandal.
“We must create a respectful workplace where everyone feels comfortable and safe,” he said. “So we did everything we could to create that environment, and we’re proud of the fact that we did.”
Meanwhile, Brown admitted that he is “so happy” and “really excited” to be “back together” with Harbor on the latest season of Stranger Things.
The first four episodes of the fifth and final season were released on Netflix on Thursday night, and saw Brown and Harbor’s characters spending more time together after reuniting at the end of season four.
“It was very nostalgic because it reminded me so much of seasons 2 and 3, where we were kind of at odds with each other and she was growing up and she was trying to find her voice and he was trying to parent, and that dynamic will definitely come back again and I’m really excited for people to see that,” the “Electric State” star explained.
“I think people’s favorite scene in ‘Eleven’ is Elle and[Hopper]so I’m really excited to have that back on screen,” she added.
Brown and Harbor previously appeared together at the Stranger Things Season 5 premiere at the TCL Chinese Theater on November 6th.
The actress, who recently adopted a baby girl with husband Jake Bongiovi, told Extra that she and Harbor are “so lucky to have each other” and that the reunion was “amazing.”
“This show means so much to us and to everyone here. This is like the last 10 years of our lives,” she gushed at the time.
“So we’ve dedicated a lot to this work, and we’re very excited to see it come to the screen,” Brown concluded.
However, a body language expert described the pair’s friendly exchange on the red carpet as “over the top”.
