Meghan Martin (Camp Rock, Mean Girls 2) leads the cast of Red Flags, a dark comic erotic thriller currently being produced along Portugal’s Algarve coast.
This British-Portuguese co-produced film will be the debut feature film of screenwriter and director Bradley Porter, based on a story developed by Martin.
Red Flags is the story of a former child actress whose husband disappeared while traveling to Europe, and the plot begins with a “a journey of greedy self-discovery driven by sex, violence and an insatiable desire for mackerel.”
Along with Martin, the ensemble cast includes Bert Seymour (Bridgerton), Anatol Taubman (Quantum of Comfort), Freddie Dennis (Quenue Charlotte), Anna Jabaxivili (And We Danced), Jeremy Galiana (Paul and Paulette, Take a Bath) and Anna Christina de Oliveira (Au Crube). Gabriel Antunes (“Hay Joe”) and Roxanne Mesquida (“À Ma Soeur!”).
“I am forever grateful to the cast and crew for helping Meghan and I make this story a reality,” Porter said. “But more than anything, I am grateful that the people of Qualteira, a place I love so much, have spread their figurative weapons and have allowed us to join their community and do something truly evil.”
Martin added, “What attracted me to Red Flags is how I pushed an intimate, almost claustrophobic relationship story into uneasy and dangerous territory.”

The film is produced by Thomas MacDonald of London-based Tedium Entertainment and co-produced by Staffon Traneus of Southwest Productions in Portugal. Currently on sale to distributors.
“I want to make a film that challenges the inequality structure of society in an entertaining audience-driven way,” McDonald said. “Meghan and Bradley have put together a truly unique story of women who try to dismantle the infantilization of the media industry and women’s rebellion against this structure and regain their ego and adult sense of their own will. I can’t wait to bring this thrilling story and Meghan’s incredible performance to the world.”
Rhyza’s Murugan Thiruchelvam and Vikram Gudi also serve as executive producers to support the project.
“We are thrilled to be able to support ‘Red Flags’ and its bold, creative vision, truly the bold and unique storytelling we want to support,” they said.
Other executive producers for the project include Paul Ginns as representatives of Realis, Paul Hillier, Bernadette Flynn and Riccardo Servini as representatives of Blush Films.
