Meghan made a surprise visit to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles on Thursday, one week after Netflix ended its partnership with her lifestyle brand As Ever.
The hospital documented Markle’s visit on Instagram, sharing photos of the Duchess of Sussex spending time with several young patients at the facility.
Markle wore a black mask in all the photos and was seated next to her children in the snapshot.
In another photo, she showed a patient a picture of Hello Kitty.
The mother of two joined patients and staff for a drawing session.
Markle, 44, stepped out wearing a white shirt, white pants and a beige sweater.
“Today we were honored to welcome LA native Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, to CHLA’s Creative Oasis, where she spent time painting with some of our amazing patients,” the hospital captioned an Instagram post.
“These special moments remind us how powerful creativity is in fostering joy, connection, and healing,” the post continued.
The hospital said Markle’s visit was part of Make March Matter, a “month-long fundraising campaign that supports the life-saving care, research and innovation that takes place every day at CHLA.”
Markle visited the same hospital in 2024 to participate in a Literary Healing session, a reading program that donates more than 65,000 books a year to CHLA families.
“Children laughed and sang as they watched the Duchess transform into a character page by page while reading patients’ favorite books such as ‘Rosie the Riveter,’ ‘Pete the Cat,’ and ‘I Saw a Cat,'” CHLA said in a statement at the time.
Last Friday, Page Six exclusively revealed that Netflix had ended its partnership with As Ever.
“Her show didn’t go on, so it didn’t make sense to continue the partnership,” an industry source exclusively told Page Six, referring to her series “With Love, Meghan.”
A Netflix spokesperson said: “Meghan’s passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful and simple ways inspired the creation of the As Ever brand. We are thrilled to play a role in bringing that vision to life.”
A representative for As Ever told Page Six that the company is “ready to become independent” and that “we have an exciting year ahead.”
Following the Netflix debacle, Ms Markle is set to headline a luxury women’s retreat in Australia in April, which has been criticized for its soaring prices.
Attendees who want the VIP experience will have to pay $2,288, while early bird tickets cost $1,930.
The retreat will take place during Markle and Prince Harry’s upcoming tour of Australia, where they will take part in several personal, business and philanthropic endeavors.
