What you need to know
Meghan Markle and her family are raiding the garden in preparation for Thanksgiving.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, shared her latest product to date on Tuesday, November 18, revealing how her entire family is working together to help harvest the herbs needed for the holiday feast in their Montecito, California, backyard.
“When it comes to our founder’s favorites, the delicate, grassy flavor of sage ranks high on the list,” says the latest newsletter from Meghan’s lifestyle company. “Why? Well, the photo we saw on our Instagram this year of Meghan walking through a gorgeous purple lavender-like field actually resembles the beauty of blooming sage (fun fact: this variety is called Santa Barbara).”
In the newsletter, she shared how Prince Archie, 6, Princess Lilibet, 4, Prince Harry, 41, and even the family’s two dogs are joining in on the fun.
“It was those sunny moments that made everyday walks a little more magical, with Archie and Lily in tow, my husband checking on the bees, and Pula chasing a ball with Mia. And that sage, that purple color, that scent in the garden was always in the background,” the newsletter said.
In addition to cooking with sage, Meghan gives it to friends, infuses it into oils, and uses it to flavor special honey harvested from bees in her backyard. That’s what inspired her latest product, As ever’s Sage Honey with Honeycomb.

“Here we are: a stunning sage honey, aromatic and earthy, gourmet in its depth of flavor and elegant simplicity, inspired by the treats she enjoys at home with her family,” the newsletter shared. “Our sage honey will be on your holiday table and beautifully adorn your Thanksgiving feast. Add it to your bird or vegetables, add it to your vinaigrette, or add a spoonful to your tea. This special honey is at the top of the list of holiday tips we want to share with you. Enjoy.”
This product is currently available in 9 oz for $32. Jar, As ever also offers a unique way to use it as part of the “Montecito Thanksgiving Love Story”.
“While dreaming up her holiday collection a few months ago, Meghan imagined what a Thanksgiving turkey would taste like drizzled with sage honey,” the newsletter said.
By combining sage honey with Dijon mustard, lemon juice, cooking stock, and spices, fans can recreate Meghan Markle’s flavorful sage honey glaze.

Meghan previously said Thanksgiving in Montecito was “always pretty low-key”.
“It’s great to be close to my mom,” she told Marie Claire in November 2024, adding that her mom, Doria Ragland, who lives nearby, also always comes with her on holidays.
The same goes for famous friends. “I think we always have space at the table for friends who don’t have family, and that’s really important,” Meghan told Marie Claire about her open door policy for the holidays.
In 2023, that led to an iconic visitor, feminist icon Gloria Steinem, making a pilgrimage to the Sussex home.

Regardless of the guest list, Meghan’s priority is to make it magical for Archie and Lilibet. She said the holidays became more fulfilling as her children grew older. “We always try to do something fun.”
“I think at first, as a mom with kids, you just enjoy having your kids there, but they don’t understand everything that’s going on yet,” she continued. “But now we’re at an age where we can’t wait to see it through their lens every year.”
