Megan Fox spoke candidly about her postpartum experience after welcoming her daughter to MGK, formerly known as Machine Gun Kelly.
While attending a screening of the cult classic Jennifer’s Body at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 25, the 39-year-old Subservience star revealed that she was experiencing postpartum struggles after giving birth to Saga Blade earlier this year.
“First of all, I just had a baby, and I’m feeling pretty foggy,” Foxx told the audience during the panel, according to a TikTok shared by the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
She continued, joking, “I haven’t slept in seven months. So if I repeat myself, I’m sorry. Just interrupt me and tell me I’m off track.”

The actress went on to reveal that the script for Jennifer’s Body “really resonated” with her, especially her character’s transformation into a monster. She explained: “There’s something about it, whether it’s recognized or not.”
“At the time, I felt like I was being persecuted in my career, and I was really struggling with fame, and I was kind of traumatized by it,” she explained.
“I resonated with the deeper layers of a teenage girl sacrificing for someone else’s gain before she becomes a monster. And that resonated with me so much because that’s kind of how I got into this industry,” she added.
For the event, the actress fully embraced the theme, wearing a red beaded jeweled corset that shimmered with every step, evoking a look that almost dripped with blood. She shared the look on Instagram, posting a video of herself striding into the screening.
“Mom went through a rough patch last night 🍼🍼🍑🤷🏻♀️,” Fox cheekily added above the clip.
It was her first appearance since joining the musician and Saga Blade earlier this year. Foxx is also the mother of sons Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 9, with ex-husband Brian Austin Green.
Fox revealed that she and her then-engaged MGK are expecting their first child in November 2024. A few weeks later, the pair broke up, with sources telling insiders that Foxx was “blindsided” by their breakup.
But a source told PEOPLE last week that the pair, who first hit it off on the set of the movie Midnight in the Switchgrass in 2020 and got engaged in 2022, are acting like a couple again.
“They’re often together and he’s going on tour soon,” the source said, adding that it’s unclear whether Foxx will accompany him on tour.
“He spends almost every night at her house with the baby and they act just like a couple, but they haven’t put a label on it or done anything official,” the source added.
Another source pointed out that the baby saga has brought the two closer together. “Megan is very happy that she took the step for both her and the baby,” the source said. “They still have separate homes, but they spend a lot of time together as a family. They put their baby first, and it’s brought them closer in many ways.”
