Matthew Lillard hopes to go to Justice League from Mystery Inc.
In his recent appearance at Los Angeles Comic-Con (via Screen Rant), Lillard was interested in reuniting with director James Gunn on a potential DC project. The two previously collaborated on “Scooby-Doo” and “Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.” Lillard played Shaggy, one of the amateur detectives leading alongside the honorable story dog.
“It’s been a while. I wanted to be in the world of superheroes,” Lillard told the audience of Los Angeles comic scams. “I wanted to be (DCU). If someone is curious, say I can use it if you encounter James Gunn.”
During the panel, Lillard talked about his past experiences with cancer. “(He’s) one of my dear friends,” Lillard said. “I’m waiting for that invitation. I don’t know if it was lost by email.”
Previously, Cancer spoke about future DC projects and how new faces can join space. He also acknowledged that past collaborators could join the franchise as time went on.
“We have hundreds of roles. As I always do, some will be brand new faces, some will be actors I have worked for before.
Lillard was cast in the second season of Daredevil: Born, which is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in March 2026.
