Mandy Moore’s Halloween preparations have begun.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the 41-year-old actress and singer revealed that she and her family would like to wear a group costume to commemorate the holiday this year.
“This year, we’re really trying to have a Halloween theme as a family,” said Moore, who shares sons August “Gus” Harrison, 4, and Oscar “Ozzy” Bennett, 3, and daughter Louise “Lou” Everett, 1, with husband Taylor Goldsmith.
“They’ve never wanted to do this before,” Starr added. “I feel like we’re entering the best part of the year, so I’m really excited.”
As for his thoughts on what the family of five’s Halloween theme should be, Moore admitted that he’s considering Star Wars and Toy Story, among other ideas.

For the past few years, Moore and Goldsmith, 40, have been celebrating Halloween in full force with their three children.
In 2024, Gus wears a red dragon costume and Gus goes to work as a sanitation worker wearing his signature fluorescent vest. Meanwhile, Lou commemorated the event by wearing an orange costume with the words “First Halloween” written on it.

Now partnered with the anti-RSV drug Bayfortas, Moore is a fully committed mother to three children under the age of four.
“I know there are seasons in life, but this particular season and chapter is one I’m fully committed to,” the This Is Us alum says. “It’s also the greatest thing in the world.”
“My husband and I looked at each other[recently]and thought, ‘This is hard, but we wouldn’t have it any other way,'” she added.
