Lori Loughlin reportedly feels “betrayed” by her estranged husband Mossimo Giannulli. This comes after a friend of Lori Loughlin previously claimed to Page Six that she found “incriminating texts and emails” on Loughlin’s cell phone.
“It’s not a happy situation for her,” a source told People magazine on Tuesday, adding: “They’re in very different places right now and it’s unlikely they’ll get back together.”
A source said Lori “feels betrayed” after splitting from Giannulli earlier this month after 28 years of marriage.
Sources said Loughlin and Giannulli’s relationship has changed since their involvement in the highly publicized college admissions scandal in 2019, which “strained their marriage.”
Loughlin and Giannulli were both involved in the Varsity Blues’ college admissions scandal and served time in prison.
Both men admitted to paying a fixer $500,000 to get their daughters, Olivia Jade, 26, and Isabella, 27, into the University of Southern California under the false pretense that they were rowing recruits.
“The situation was never the same,” the source said.
Representatives for Mr. Loughlin did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment. Giannulli told People that he had “zero comments.”
A friend of the actress, 61, recently claimed to Page Six that Loughlin dumped the fashion designer, 62.
“Really, the turning point was when Lori found a bunch of text messages,” a friend claimed.
“Mossimo has been taking advantage of Lori for years,” the friend claimed. “She had hoped that he might change once he got out of prison, but he got worse.”
A representative for the actress previously said Loughlin and Giannulli were separated, but no legal proceedings were underway at the time.
After their breakup, she was spotted at her home in Los Angeles, where she seemed to be in good spirits, having thrown away her wedding ring.
Loughlin’s “Full House” co-star John Stamos recently defended the mother of two, calling her a “saint.”
“I tried my best to be there for her during[the divorce]and during the college scandal. I’m not going to argue whether she had much to do with it or not. I know she didn’t have anything to do with it,” Stamos insisted on Monday’s Good Guys podcast.
“She’s going to jail for three months for this motherfucker,” he added.
