Huntr/X took over Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show” as the singing star of Netflix’s smash “Kpop Demon Hunters” made her late-night debut on Tuesday for her first full live performance of her chart-topping single “Golden.”

Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami sing for the roles of Rumi (Ardencho), Mila (Mae Hong), and Zoe (ji-young yoo), respectively, in “Kpop Demon Hunters.” The animated film was released on June 20th, and by late August, it was the streamer’s most-watched film, beating previous title holder ‘Red Notice’ with 236 million views. Directed by Chris Appelhans and Maggie Kang, the film follows a K-Pop supergroup who must balance their lives as world-famous pop stars.

In a sit-down interview with Fallon, the late night host broke the news to the trio that the movie’s soundtrack has gone platinum, referencing the latest Billboard 200 album chart. “The Kpop Demon Hunters” soundtrack hit its second week at No. 1 in the latest tracking week. Of the 102,000 equivalent album units earned in the latest tracking week, the record accumulated 117 million on-demand official streams.

In September, “Golden” made history by leading the Hot 100 for five consecutive weeks, becoming the longest-running No. 1 song by an animated act in the chart’s history.

Additionally, the “KPOP Demon Hunters” soundtrack notched four total tracks in the top 10 of the Hot 100. Outside of “Golden,” fan favorite tracks “Your Idol,” “Soda Pop,” and “How Its Done” reached No. 4, No. 5, and No. 8, respectively.

On October 4, Hunt/X stopped by another late-night TV staple, “Saturday Night Live.” Appearing as himself alongside host and musical guest Bad Bunny, he performed an abbreviated version of “Golden” for the three-time Grammy Award winner.
