Arden Cho and Ahn Hyo-seop, the voice actors who play lovers Rumi and Jin-woo in “KPop Demon Hunters,” will conduct their first joint interview on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.”
The episode will air on NBC on January 12th at 11:35pm and streamed the following day on Peacock. The news that Cho and Hyo-seop will meet with Fallon was announced in a teaser video released by NBC on social media. In the video, a young girl approaches Fallon with a piece of paper and says, “Excuse me, sir, I made this for you.” He picks up the paper and sees a picture of Rumi and Jin-woo with the actors’ names and the date of the episode.
This isn’t the first time Fallon’s show has hosted the “KPop Demon Hunters” star. In October, the voices of Rumi (Ije), Mila (Nuna) and Zoe (Lei Ami) performed their song “Golden” on “The Tonight Show” and joined Fallon on the couch. The Oct. 7 episode was originally scheduled to be their first television appearance and live performance — and they were then scheduled to make a surprise cameo on an Oct. 4 episode of “Saturday Night Live” hosted by Bad Bunny.
In addition to Cho and Hyo-seop, “The Tonight Show” will also feature guests Kristen Wiig and Ashton Kutcher, and a musical performance by Ty Meyers is scheduled for January 12th.
“KPop Demon Hunters” premiered on Netflix on June 20 and quickly became the streamer’s most popular English-language film of all time. It has since garnered over 500 million views worldwide.
