It’s safe to say that Kim Kardashian knows how to dress for revenge. But on Thursday, at the Los Angeles premiere of executive producer Ryan Murphy’s latest project, “All’s Fair,” the multifaceted 44-year-old proved she has the brains and good looks to do some serious damage.
At least, that’s how her character is.
Kardashian attended the premiere of her new female-centered legal drama wearing a sculptural Schiaparelli haute couture dress. In this drama, she plays a talented and very stylish divorce lawyer.
Crafted from nude satin layered with sheer black tulle, the look featured a dramatic draped skirt, corseted waist, and halter neckline.
Boasting an impressive cast including Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash, Glenn Close and Teyana Taylor, the series follows the stories of women who leave male-dominated law firms to go into independent practice alongside Kardashian’s Alura Grant.
“Sharing the screen with these iconic women is a dream come true,” Kardashian said in a promotional video for the show. “I pinch myself every day on set.”
Naturally, Murphy’s longtime muse Sarah Paulson also stars.
If life imitates art, or vice versa, Kardashian has expressed an interest in the legal profession. She took the California bar exam in July and received her results last month (she passed!). The Skims founder has spent a considerable amount of time inside the courtroom, most notably as a plaintiff in the 2016 Paris robbery trials in which eight people were convicted of violent armed robberies.
During a robbery during Paris Fashion Week in 2016, attackers stole millions of dollars worth of jewelry, including Kardashian’s then-husband Kanye West’s engagement ring.
Although the robbery took place nearly a decade ago, Kardashian testified in Paris this spring wearing a vintage John Galliano blazer dress worthy of a courtroom.
The jacket features padded shoulders, a fitted waist, and peplum detailing. She paired the plunging blazer with a long black maxi skirt with a slit in the back, black slingback heels, and Dark Alaïa sunglasses.
Kardashian didn’t stop there. She accessorized to the fullest for her day in court, wearing a $3 million diamond necklace, sparkling anklets, rings, and numerous diamond earrings, including an $8,100 Briony Raymond ear cuff.
As for Alura Grant, Esq. Will she wear it to “Old’s Fair” this season?
We’re sure she won’t commit any major fashion crimes.
