Kim Kardashian plans to give up her “Kim K” persona in 10 years.
The reality star said during an appearance on “The Graham Norton Show” on Friday that she wants to become a trial lawyer after taking the bar exam in July.
“I will be qualified within two weeks. I would like to practice law,” she said.
“Maybe in 10 years I’ll stop being Kim K and become a trial lawyer,” she continued. “That’s what I really want.”
In May, Kardashian, 45, celebrated receiving her law school degree after six years. At a private graduation ceremony hosted by family and friends, Mentor spoke about the mother of four’s hard work.
“Six years ago, Kim Kardashian entered this program with nothing but a fierce desire to fight for justice. No law school lectures, no ivory tower shortcuts, just determination,” the mentor shared in a video posted by Kardashian to her Instagram Story.
Mentor noted that Kardashian dedicated “18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year, for six consecutive years.”
“This equates to a total of 5,184 hours of law study,” she said. “That’s the time she built while raising her four children, running a business, filming a TV show, and appearing in court to defend others.”
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star first revealed she was studying law in a 2019 Vogue interview. She said she was inspired by “seeing really good results” for Alice Marie Johnson, a prisoner she helped free.
“I had to think long and hard about this,” she said.
“I got a call from the White House advising me to help change the pardon system, and I was sitting in the Roosevelt Room with judges who had sentenced criminals and a lot of really powerful people, and I was like, ‘Oh, yeah, I want to know more,'” she recalled. “But I had a lawyer who supported me with all the facts of the case.”
“It’s never one person getting things done; it’s always a collection of people. I always knew my role, but I felt like I wanted to be able to fight for those who have paid their duty to society,” she continued. “I wanted to fight to fix it because I felt the system could be very different. If we knew more, we could do more.”
The Skims founder has been candid about his progress with fans, admitting that he failed the ‘baby bar’ exam three times before passing the exam in 2021.
In a 2022 interview with Vogue Hong Kong, she revealed that she would like to one day establish a “successful law firm”.
Kardashian’s late father, Robert Kardashian, was a successful lawyer. He gained fame as Simpson’s friend and defense attorney during the highly publicized 1995 murder trial of O. J. Simpson, which ultimately acquitted Simpson of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.
