Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes were spotted getting close on a trip to Scotland just a month after their split.
According to Us Weekly, a source recently reported that the pair were “very much in love and holding hands” during an outing at the Cannonball Restaurant and Bar near Edinburgh Castle in Scotland.
The source added that Mr Ballerini, 32, and Mr Stokes, 33, “seemed to be very kind people”.
“He was very nice. We had a little chat about how he was vacationing in Scotland before he went to Croatia to film the final season of Outer Banks,” a source told Stokes, adding that he posed for photos with some fans while on vacation.
“They both looked really happy and were smiling,” they continued.
The two stars were then spotted together again on Friday in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Representatives for Ballerini and Stokes did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Stokes and Ballerini ended their relationship in September after two years together.
“They are adults and they tried their best and tried everything to make it work, but in the end it just didn’t happen,” a source close to the couple told People magazine at the time. “It happens.”
“It was a tough breakup,” another source told Us Weekly. “They’ve been arguing a lot lately, but their communication hasn’t been great over the last month. They’ve both been traveling a lot and trying to juggle everything, so there’s been a lot of arguing.”
The breakup comes just two days after Stokes wished Ballerini a happy 32nd birthday on Instagram.
“You keep saying you’re not excited about 32, but I’m saying I’m looking forward to so much more,” she wrote alongside a happy photo of the two spending time together.
“Happy birthday, my love ❤️,” he added.
The two have been dating since January 2023, and rumors of their relationship surfaced after Stokes posted a photo of them cozying up on Instagram while watching the National College Football Championship together.
