Kelly Clarkson revealed on a recent show as part of her studio session residency in Las Vegas that her former manager encouraged her to get breast surgery when she first entered the music industry after winning “American Idol” (via E! News).
“One time, my dick manager asked me to get a boob job,” Kelly said. “I thought, ‘Why don’t you just get a job that doesn’t matter?'” Wait, what? It’s okay to have small breasts! Get out of here. ”
“Who said that?” Clarkson asked the audience. “People say shit like that. They say it all the time to people in the industry. They say the craziest things. I’m like, ‘This is not normal. You’ve normalized something crazy’…Everyone here looks like they’re in the Capitol in ‘The Hunger Games.'”
The pop singer and daytime talk show host emphasized that her views on plastic surgery in the entertainment industry are simple. “You do that. Don’t make me do you. I like my small tits. They have served me well.”
Clarkson recently returned to her Las Vegas residency after postponing performances from August due to ex-husband Brandon Blackstock’s death from cancer.
“Unfortunately, we must postpone the remaining dates of our August studio sessions in Las Vegas,” Clarkson wrote in the announcement. “I usually keep my personal life private, but last year, my children’s father became ill, so I have to be fully present for them at this time. I sincerely apologize to everyone who purchased tickets to the show, and I sincerely appreciate everyone’s kindness, kindness, and understanding.”
Blackstock’s death was reported the day after Clarkson’s postponement was announced. The former couple have two children. Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock in June 2020 after seven years of marriage.
