The former Canadian Prime Minister and her “California Girl” are still alive and well.
Justin Trudeau first dated Katy Perry in the summer of 2025 after breaking up with Sophie Grégoire Trudeau and Orlando Bloom, respectively.

July 2025: Perry and Bloom end engagement
After weeks of speculation, Perry and Bloom confirmed in July 2025 that they would no longer be on the road.
A rep for the former couple, who got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2019, wrote that “[they]have been transitioning their relationship in recent months to focus on co-parenting[daughter Daisy].”
“They will continue to be seen as a family, as their shared priorities are and will be to raise their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect,” the statement concluded.
July 2025: Stylish dinner date
Prime Minister Trudeau and Prime Minister Perry were spotted together in Montreal in July 2025, dining at Le Villon and strolling through Mount Royal Park.
The two met at an event a few weeks ago, the US Sun reported at the time.
“They’re two people who really enjoy chatting about a variety of topics, and so far things have gone very well,” the outlet claimed. “They plan to meet again soon.”
July 2025: Prime Minister Trudeau attends Perry’s concert
Later that same week, the politician took her daughter to Montreal, a destination on Perry’s “Life Times” tour.

The Daily Mail reported in August 2025 that Prime Minister Trudeau and Prime Minister Perry’s relationship was already “fading” after their “nonstop” text messages the previous month.
“She and he are both busy,” the source said. “They’ve had a lot going on and the novelty is wearing off. But there’s nothing negative about it. They just aren’t communicating constantly anymore. That might change, but for now it’s the way it is. It’s getting colder.”
