Kate Gosselin has publicly admitted that she and former bodyguard Steve Nield are in a relationship after years of rumors about her affair.
The reality star, 50, confessed her love for Nield in an Instagram video, writing: “One girl. 10 things I’m crazy about.” The eight children she had with ex-husband Jon Gosselin took first place, with Nield coming in second.
Kate wrote “2. My boyfriend” with a heart eye emoji above a photo of her with Neild.
The intimate photos included one of the couple posing on the beach, and another shot of the pair apparently on a tropical vacation. The pair showed off their toned physiques, with Kate wearing a hot pink bikini and Neild going shirtless.
Page Six exclusively reported in September that Kate was dating Nield and they were living together.
“They have wedding plans and it’s very serious,” a source told Us.
“There’s no doubt that Kate is crazy about him… They’re talking about wedding plans and moving on to the next stage.”
Nield began working for the “John & Kate Plus 8” alum in 2008. He has been photographed with the reality star many times over the years while working as her bodyguard.
He was married when he started working with his family, but is now divorced. Rumors had swirled for years that he and Kate were having an affair, which Kate vehemently denied in 2009.
“The next story to come out of Animals Stalking Us is about our security guards and their families,” Kate told People magazine at the time. “The allegations they have already made against me are disgusting, unthinkable, incomprehensible and frightening to me.”
However, shortly after Page Six reported the news, her ex-husband slammed her and Nield’s relationship.
“Who really ruined the marriage,” John, 48, wrote on Instagram, sharing a screenshot of the Page Six report on Kate and Neild. “Please read it yourself.”
“If I speak, maybe people will listen!!!” he captioned the post.
He also linked to Page Six’s coverage on his Instagram Story, adding, “All told” above the slide. She also posted on her Instagram Story, “No one believed me. I guess I was right.”
Kate and John’s son Colin, who has been estranged from his mother for years, also accused her and Nield of having an affair.
“What really pisses me off is that my mom had an affair with our bodyguard in 2009 and shared a hotel room with him for years while we were in connecting rooms while we went on family vacations!” Colin claimed in an Instagram Story.
“Now everyone thinks it’s some novelty, cute romance that she’s with him,” he continued, noting that his father has “received death threats” and has been “kept out of the public eye for years for ‘infidelity’ and ‘separation from his children.'”
Colin added: “I hope she doesn’t try to gloss over this. Just come forward and be honest.”
Kate and John divorced in December 2009 after 10 years of marriage. They have 25-year-old twins Maddie and Carla, and 21-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Arden, Colin, Leah and Joel.
