Not that appealing.
Kaley Cuoco claims Rose McGowan nuzzled her on the set of Charmed 20 years ago.
The Big Bang Theory alum, 40, detailed her “horrible” experience starring on the WB fantasy drama in 2005 and the not-so-warm reception she received from McGowan on a recent episode of Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert.
“You know how when you’re doing so much, you forget the terrible moments?” Cuoco began. “Imagine this: I’ve never met any of them. This is their gallery shoot.”
She continued, “I’m the new girl. I have Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan, Holly Marie Combs. I’ve never met them. Think about it. I’m going to be in their family photo, and I’m 21 years old.”
Cuoco said the cast’s gallery shoot went off without a hitch, but things got “dangerous” when her co-stars took a lunch break.
“I walk through that gallery and I get really nervous,” she explained. “Right now it’s lunch break. Everyone is eating in the corner.”
Cuoco continued, “I walked in and Alyssa Milano saw me and — I always tell this story about her — she got up and ran up to me and welcomed me to the show and gave me the biggest hug in the world. She was so happy and so kind. I’ll never forget it.”
But according to the “8 Simple Rules” alum, McGowan, 52, wasn’t too thrilled about Cuoco joining the hit show.
“Maybe Rose wasn’t that happy. I don’t know,” Cuoco said. “I still don’t know if she likes me or not. I don’t know. But Alyssa was great. It was scary. It was weird to be on the show with them in my eighth year, and I was only on for one season.”
Representatives for Mr. McGowan did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
“Charmed” first aired on The WB in October 1998. Milano, 53, and Combs, 52, starred as magical sisters Phoebe and Piper Halliwell alongside Shannen Doherty’s Prue Halliwell.
However, Doherty abruptly left the series at the end of season 3 in May 2001, following rumors of on-set problems with Milano.
McGowan joined the show as Paige Matthews in season 4 to fill the void left by Doherty’s departure. Doherty sadly passed away in July 2024 at the age of 53 after a long battle with breast cancer.
As for Cuoco, she joined ‘Charmed’ in 2005 as Billie Jenkins in the show’s eighth and final season.
The ‘Disappeared’ star seemed to further hint at her and McGowan’s frosty ‘charming’ dynamic in an interview with Saturday’s edition of The Independent.
“I joined ‘Charmed’ with no thought other than getting this cool job,” she told the magazine. “It was intense and difficult.”
Cuoco added, “There were some people on that show who were great to me, but there were also some people who weren’t so great. I remember both of them clearly.”
