Actor Joey Polari will stay in the Ryan Murphy business and join the next season of the super-creator’s cold-blooded hitman series Monster.
Variety exclusively revealed that Pollari will star in Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story. He joins previously announced cast members including Ella Beatty (daughter of Warren Beatty and Annette Bening), Charlie Hunnam (Monster: The Ed Gein Story), Rebecca Hall and Vicki Krieps.
Pollari will play John Morse, the uncle of a notorious ax murderer. Beatty plays the title role, Hunnam plays father Andrew, and Hall plays stepmother Abby. The next chapter in Murphy’s anthology examines the infamous American crime, trial, and aftermath.
Pollari recently starred in “Ed Gein” and was thrust into the spotlight for his role as Anthony Perkins in “Psycho.” Next up is FX’s “The Beauty.” This is another Murphy project about sexually transmitted diseases that beautify their victims before they become fatal. Hall stars in the series alongside Evan Peters, Ashton Kutcher, Jeremy Pope, Bella Hadid, and Anthony Ramos. The project is based on the Image Comics series of the same name by Jeremy Horn and Jason A. Hurley. The 11-episode series will air on January 21st.
Pollari’s previous credits include FOX’s “Love, Simon” and John Ridley’s 2015 ABC series “American Crime.” Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Pollari had a steady career as a young adult on shows like CBS’s “Cold Case” and the Disney original film “Skyrunners.”
