Jeremy Clarkson talks about his inner fear in the trailer for Season 5 of ‘Clarkson’s Farm’, which streams on Prime Video.
The trailer shows an ambulance speeding away from Diddley Squat Farm, followed by the beeping of machines in the background and mobile phone footage of a nurse attaching a probe to Mr Clarkson’s chest as he lies in a hospital bed.
He was later seen explaining to farm manager Caleb Cooper, “There are three arteries that feed the heart to keep it pumping. There was no blood flowing through my heart.” “To be fair, my mother died of a heart attack at the age of 67,” said one volunteer. Clarkson, 65, replies, “See? That’s good news.”
But any chance that the former host of car shows like “Top Gear” and “The Grand Tour” will stall is dispelled by the rest of the action-packed trailer.
His activities include speaking at a farmers’ protest in London, before which he was seen explaining, “The doctors told me not to talk, and Amazon told me not to talk.”
She was also seen pulling on the calf’s legs to help give birth, and the calf was then seen happily flying away. But in the next scene, Clarkson hears shocking news. One of the cows is infected with bovine tuberculosis, and the farm is closed. A government inspector was also seen telling him: “The whole farm is under restriction. The department will contact you to discuss what you can and cannot do.”
The final scene shows Caleb driving a combine harvester and radioing Clarkson to inform him that his partner Taya has given birth to their third child. “Shit, I gotta go,” Clarkson says. “No, not yet,” Caleb replies. “I’ll finish this field soon.”
Season 5 of “Clarkson’s Farm” returns to Prime Video on June 3.
