Netflix has released the first trailer for the romantic comedy “Office Romance” starring Jennifer Lopez. The film will be released on the streamer on June 5th.
Described as “a raunchy romantic comedy about a secret office romance and the trouble two workaholics get into when they start thinking with their minds,” Office Romance stars Brett Goldstein alongside Lopez. Other principal cast members include Betty Gilpin, Amy Sedaris, Tony Hale, Bradley Whitford, and Edward James Olmos.
“Ted Lasso” star Goldstein co-wrote the script with Joe Kelly, one of the co-creators of “Ted Lasso.” The film was directed by Ol Parker, who directed “Imagine Me and You,” “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again,” and the romantic comedy “Ticket to Paradise,” starring Julia Roberts and George Clooney.
This marks a return to Netflix for Lopez, who previously starred in the platform’s 2023 action thriller “The Mother” and 2024 sci-fi action film “Atlas.” It’s also a return to romantic comedy, a genre that has become synonymous with her throughout her career. She has appeared in films such as Prime Video’s Shotgun Wedding, The Wedding Planner, Made in Manhattan, Monster in Law, Marry Me, and The Back-Up Plan, to name a few.
Most recently, Lopez starred in the 2025 musical drama Kiss of the Spider Woman. Goldstein recently appeared on Apple TV’s “Shrinking,” “Love, Death & Robots,” “All of You” and “The Garfield Movie.”
News first broke that Office Romance was in development in 2024. “Office Romance” was produced by Lopez, Goldstein, Aaron Ryder, Andrew Sweat, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina and Joe Kelly, with Pamela Sarr and Courtney Baxter serving as executive producers.
