Indian children’s entertainment company Emomee has announced its debut original animated series ‘Emomee’. The series features three characters, E, Mo, and Mee, who guide young viewers through adventures spanning science, nature, friendship, and discovery.
The company has released a trailer for the series, marking Emmy’s first major content milestone since it captured national attention earlier this year with Season 5 of Shark Tank India, where all five sharks were offered at the founders’ asking valuation of 5 billion rupees ($5.2 million).
“Our ambition is to build the next billion-dollar children’s IP from India, and this series is a key milestone in that journey. We use storytelling to help children increase their confidence, curiosity and emotional intelligence, and create characters that families can grow with,” said Pooja Jauhari, Founder and CEO of Emomee.
Founded in 2023 by Jauhari and co-founder and chief creative officer Varun Duggirala, Emomee is positioning itself around what it calls a “life skills first” approach to children’s content, as opposed to the algorithm-driven, overstimulating formats that have drawn scrutiny from parents and educators around the world. Suraksha Subramaniam joined as the third co-founder to oversee compliance and culture.
“We’re not building another show. We’re building an ecosystem around purposeful storytelling. The most enduring children’s brands create value beyond the screen, so they become part of childhood memories. Our goal is to build an Indian IP that kids around the world can grow up with and that parents can feel good about introducing to their children.”
Since its launch, the platform has amassed 2.5 million subscribers and 1 billion views, with an audience spread across more than 100 countries, including the US, UK, and Southeast Asian markets.
