In today’s episode of the “Daily Variety” podcast, Daniel Daddario, the senior correspondent of variety, enters the mind of the man playing the serial killer.
Hannam is open and candid in his interviews about his career decisions over the past decade, reports D’Addario. Hunnam explains why he brought him back to the top of his call sheet in the latest season of the Netflix anthology series produced by Ryan Murphy.
And “Daily Variety” host Cynthia Littleton dives into the variety archives to revisit the front page from October 1956. The front page is reproduced below.
“It was warm and close. I wanted to go anywhere in the conversation. I was hit quite a bit,” says D’Addario. “We were supposed to meet at his favourite coffee shop. We got there and he didn’t want to talk about the actor and the pretending of his process, some of the things he talks with and all of the parcels. It was a candid and open conversation with someone who is passionate about what he’s doing, that great thing.”
This episode features a little trip courtesy of Variety Archives. The front page of the Daily Variety on October 1, 1956 features many echoes of today. As always, there is Yarn’s only story, including Washington, DC, about the visit of White House President Dwight D. Eisenhower, producer Samuel Goldwyn.
