“House of David” has been renewed for a third season on Amazon Prime Video, Variety reported.
The Wonder Project series originally debuted on the streamer in early 2025, with season 2 launching in October 2025.
The series’ creators and executive producers, John Irwin and John Gunn, said: “We are deeply grateful to our fans around the world for embracing House of David.” “Season 3 follows one of the most defining chapters of David’s life, and we are honored to share this next chapter with our partners at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios. Whether viewers knew David through the Bible or encountered him in a new light, we hope this series continues to reveal why his story resonates across generations.”
The series stars Michael Iskander as David, Ali Suliman as King Saul, Ayelet Zuler as Queen Ahinoam, and Stephen Lang as Samuel. The cast also includes Indi Lewis, Jari Topol Margaris, Ethan Kai, Sam Otto, Oded Fehr, Luis Ferreira, Davoud Ghadami, Ashraf Barhom, and Alexander Woolloom.
The official description for Season 3 reads:
“David’s journey comes full circle from exiled shepherd to fierce warrior to his ultimate destiny as king. But exile awaits the throne. David is a hunted outlaw, hiding among his enemies and forced to live yet another dangerous lie. In this chapter, we explore the true cost of destiny, the betrayal endured, the identity swept away, and the sacrifices required of a hero on his way to the throne.”
“At Wonder Project, we are committed to building enduring series rooted in timeless stories that inspire, entertain and unite our audiences,” said Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten, CEO of Wonder Project. “We are grateful for Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios’ continued partnership and shared belief in their vision, and are excited to continue our journey with the third season of House of David.”
Irwin and Gunn will serve as executive producers, with Justin Rosenblatt, Gavin J. Bearman, Adam Abel, Chad Oakes, Michael Frislev and Eric Mountain also serving as executive producers. Rosenblatt is executive producer on behalf of Wonder Project. “The Chosen’s” Dallas Jenkins is a stockholder and special advisor to the Wonder Project. “House of David” is produced by Wonder Projects and Amazon MGM Studios in association with Nomadic Pictures and The Argonauts, Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate Television.
