Zachary Ty Bryan’s ex-girlfriend has been sentenced to a five-year restraining order against him after the Home Improvement star allegedly “hit her in the head.”
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the victim first called police on July 3 after the actor, 44, allegedly playfully bit her nipple and then punched her in the right temple.
A few days later, the woman told law enforcement that she feared for her safety during an argument with Brian.
She claimed he threatened to end her life and told her: “Shut up or I’ll shut up.”
During the verbal incident, she also told police that Brian locked her in a room with her dog and punched the door, ripping the dog from its frame.
During their relationship, which reportedly lasted just three months, the former sitcom star allegedly sprayed bleach in the dog’s face.
A representative for Bryan could not be reached for comment to Page Six.
Brian has been involved in domestic violence several times with previous partners.
In October 2020, he was arrested on suspicion of strangling his ex-fiancée.
Brian received two felonies and six misdemeanors, but later claimed the incident was “out of proportion.”
“We were really loud. We were screaming, and everyone could hear us because we were in a (thin-walled) townhome,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023.
He added that they “didn’t really get that far physically.”
The “True Heart” star, who agreed to the deal and pleaded guilty to intimidation and fourth-degree assault in February 2021, told the outlet, “I committed two misdemeanors, but I’m done with it.”
“At the end of the day, the reason[police]charge you with so many charges is because ultimately they want you to plead something,” Brian continued. “We could have fought it…but it’s more stress and drama.”
In his most recent run-in with the law, Brian was arrested in January on a charge of second-degree domestic violence after police found him in a physical fight at a residence in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
During the altercation, the offending actor allegedly “hit the woman multiple times and threatened to kill her” before being arrested on New Year’s Day. Page Six can confirm that this lawsuit is still pending.
A mug shot obtained by Page Six shows Brian’s face disfigured with scratches and red marks at the time of his arrest.
