Hilaria and Alec Baldwin had two very different reactions after popular content creator Dan Mahboubian Rosen tore the interior design of his Hamptons home to shreds.
In a video reviewing Rosen’s luxury home, he mocked Hilaria’s infamous fake accent controversy (she claimed to be from Spain but was revealed to be a Boston-born woman named Hilary) by putting on a fake Spanish accent.
He then criticized every room in the house and accused the couple of having no personality.
“How does someone as wealthy as Alec Baldwin live in a place like this?” he commented. “Looks like they ran out of money to decorate the set of a Hallmark holiday movie.”
“There’s nothing here,” he continued. “Did they go to Pottery Barn on Groupon? Everything is so boring.”
The only thing he admired in the couple’s living room was Hilaria’s humorous painting. This painting is actually based on a real paparazzi photo taken at a bar.
“It’s like a pop art pastiche that they might have hired Adrien Brody to paint,” he joked.
The couple later teased that they had seven children and that their house was unusually clean.
“They have 42 children. There’s no way they can all be so orderly and tidy,” he mused. “This house is a mess, show Hilaria the mess.”
Moving on to the couple’s all-white bathroom, Rosen cruelly calls it “mayonnaise.”
“Mood board, what was on the plywood set?” he cracked. “A, B, C — always be white.”
Rosen said she likes the children’s outdoor jungle gym, saying it has more character than the entire house.
“I would rather live on this jungle gym than in this house,” he said.
Rosen captioned the video: “I apologize to the Baldwins for the quality of my Spanish accent (and their home).”
He has since turned off comments on his Instagram posts, but Alec and Hilaria responded to the video, which received more than 10,000 likes.
Hilaria, who is good at sports, commented with a laughing emoji, while Alec seemed a little offended, writing: “Why aren’t you leaving?”
Hilaria, 41, recently opened up about going to therapy with Alec, 67. The reason is that their sharp age difference sometimes causes problems in their marriage.
“I don’t think age is just a number, at least in our situation,” she told Caroline Stanbury on Wednesday’s episode of the podcast “Uncut & Uncensored.”
“There are times when I have to look at him and say, ‘He’s got 26 more years of experience,'” she said. “And sometimes that brings flexibility, and sometimes it just requires a little bit of therapy.”
