Hailey Bieber revealed new details about her 16-month-old son Jack’s milestone during an appearance on Therapas podcast.
Hailey revealed her son’s first words and the Justin Bieber song he’s already recited.
She also spoke about her feelings about having more children in the future.
Hailey Bieber appeared on the Season 3 premiere of Jake Shane’s Therapas podcast on Netflix last night and had her most candid conversation yet about her 1-year-old son, Jack Bruce Bieber. She discussed Jack’s milestones, found out what he’s been up to, and even sang a little bit of his father Justin Bieber’s music.
Shane asks if Jack is talking at 16 months old, and Haley confirms that he is. “He’s so cute,” she said. Shane then asked Jack’s opinion.
Haley replied, “So he talks about basketball a lot. He always says ‘basketball’. Today I went to wake him up from his nap and he was like ‘basketball.'” He’s just…insane. Very interesting. He just started saying “please” too. He knew how to sign for a really long time. So I’d say, “Hey, say it,” and he’d say, “Please do this (sign language for please).” And now he’s saying “please”, oh so cute. It’s really fun. ”
Hailey added that she really enjoys being a mother. “It’s so much fun. I’ve always wanted to have children. I’ve always wanted to be a mother,” she said. “And when it happens, you never know what’s going to happen and you never know what it’s going to be like. And honestly, it’s a lot of fun.”
Shane asks if there was anything unexpected that no one warned her about before giving birth to Jack.
She had a thoughtful answer: “You don’t know what’s going to happen until you get there. But what surprised me is that I feel so much more relaxed as a mom than I expected, especially being a first-time mom.”
She added that she thought she would be stressing “more” about her child’s health and safety, but it’s only the beginning. “When I first got him I definitely felt more anxious, you know, when they’re so little it’s much more scary,” she said. “Still, I was a lot more relaxed about the whole thing than I thought I would be, because I realized that people just figure it out as they go through each day. They’re just learning as they go, figuring out how to be a parent. And then the little humans… I think it’s the coolest thing to see him become his own little person. I see what he’s into. He loves this. It’s so much fun.”
Jack was already a sports fan, telling Shane, “He’s walking. He’s running. He’s kicking the soccer ball. He’s throwing the soccer ball.” Her son is “obsessed with everything,” she said.
He is also into his father’s music. Hayley revealed that Jack listens to the song a lot and has been reciting the lyrics to “Baby”. “He kept saying, ‘Baby, oh baby, oh baby oh,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s so crazy,'” she said.
Shane asked Haley if she planned on having more children once Jack was older. “I definitely want to,” she replied, but then quickly added, “I’m taking one kid at a time. I definitely want another. I’m not in a hurry, but I definitely want one more. Maybe four more. Maybe three. I don’t know, I really don’t know. I’m just taking it one day at a time.”
