Eric Robles is the showrunner, and Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer will executive produce along with Upside Down Pictures’ Hilary Leavitt, 21 Laps’ Shawn Levy, and Dan Cohen.
“When we started talking about what else we wanted to do with Stranger Things, this was one of our first ideas,” the Duffer Brothers said in the teaser. “The idea was to evoke the feel of 80s cartoons. Animation really has no limits. Eric and his team can and do go wild.”
“What we were able to capture was a new way of capturing the magic of Hawkins,” Robles said. “Our story takes place between seasons two and three, but we quickly learn that nothing is quite what they thought it would be. So get your flashlights and backpacks ready, because it’s going to be amazing.”
