“Movies and TV have a great way of bringing families together, whether they’re watching it with their children and grandchildren or rediscovering a long-loved story,” said executive producer Laura McKenzie, who also serves as co-chair of the Family Film and Television Awards. “The best storytelling connects generations and reminds us of what’s really important. We’re proud to honor programs that inspire, entertain and celebrate families in all their forms.”
This telecast will also serve as a benefit for the U.S. Marine Toys Program, which assists families in need across the United States. Special segments during the program will highlight the Marine Corps’ work in communities across the United States.
