“Euphoria” star Barbie Ferreira looked unrecognizable as she flaunted her new figure at the Academy Women’s Luncheon in Los Angeles.
The actress’ dramatic weight loss was on full display as she posed on the red carpet at the star-studded event on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old HBO star turned heads in a waist-hugging pink minidress with ruching down the center and ruffles along the hem and sleeves.
She completed the look with embellished black heels, pink nail polish, and burgundy lip color.
The “Nope” star also styled her brunette hair in soft, natural waves around her face.
Ferreira first showed signs of weight loss in 2024, when she shocked fans with a photo of her lean figure.
Her body changes have sparked speculation that she may have resorted to Ozempic, or similar weight loss drugs, to achieve results. But she hasn’t worked on the theory yet.
Ferreira’s weight loss continues, and she showed off her toned figure while walking at the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in October.
She strutted down the catwalk wearing a red bra and matching underwear underneath an oversized jean jacket decorated with mini denim angel wings.
“What a crazy side quest. Gotta be an angel today 🪽 thank you @adamselman @vspink @victoriassecret,” she wrote on Instagram at the time, along with a photo of the experience.
Last week, she showed off her beautiful legs in a “Black Swan” costume while celebrating Halloween.
“Happy Halloween from the swans 🦢,” she wrote on Instagram on Oct. 31, wearing a white tutu and a feather on her head.
This model has been an advocate of body positivity for years. In 2023, Ferreira admitted that she quit her role on Euphoria because she was tired of playing the “fat best friend.”
“I don’t think she had anywhere to go,” she said of her character Cat Hernandez in an interview on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast at the time.
“I think there were places she could have gone. I just don’t think it fit the show. I don’t know if it did her justice. And I think we both knew that I really didn’t want her to be the fat best friend,” she continued. “I didn’t want to play that way and I don’t think they wanted that either.”
Ferreira said it was a “mutual decision” between her and series creator Sam Levinson to leave the show.
She also believes that Levinson had no connection to Kat’s character in real life.
“Sam writes about things that are about him. I don’t think he’s about Kat,” she said. “I love Kat, so I was able to go my own way. At first, I was like, oh my gosh, I’m a failure, I’m a loser. It’s been really good.”
