Elsie Hewitt opens up about her first New Year’s Eve as a mother.
On Wednesday, Dec. 31, the 29-year-old new mom posted a series of photos to her Instagram Stories that give a glimpse of how different the holidays will be with her baby daughter Scottie Rose.
“What are new parents doing this year? Is it much different than previous New Years?” she captioned a selfie with a filter.

Hewitt clarified his point in two subsequent posts. The first post showed her completely captivated by last year’s year-end celebrations.
“Me last New Year’s Eve,” she wrote on a photo of herself posing with a black and gold leaf door banner.
In the photo, Hewitt wore a black ensemble with flower cutouts. She styled her hair in a tight bun and wore gold eyeshadow and glossy red lips.

The model then shared a photo from this year’s New Year’s Eve. The bare-faced mother grinned as she posed for a selfie with her baby in the crib behind her. There was also a stroller and nursing pillow in the photo.
Hewitt captioned the post: “Me on New Year’s Eve,” adding a teary-eyed smiling emoji.

Hewitt and Pete Davidson, 32, welcomed their first child together on December 12 and shared the news on Instagram almost a week later. “Best job ever. So full of love, gratitude and disbelief,” the mother captioned a post with several photos of the couple and their newborn.
“Wu-Tang forever,” Davidson added.
The first few days after giving birth were rocky, with Hewitt revealing on her Instagram Stories that she needed dental surgery to remove her wisdom teeth shortly after giving birth.
“Someone else had to have their wisdom teeth removed straight from the hospital the day after giving birth,” she wrote in a selfie of herself and her daughter in the back seat of her car.
On Dec. 26, Hewitt showed off her post-baby body in a bathroom mirror selfie wearing a black T-shirt and post-baby underwear. She wrote above the image: “I wear adult diapers day and night.”
She further added, “My sister asked me if I would pee in it. If you’re wondering the same, the answer is no.”

A source previously told PEOPLE that Hewitt and the Saturday Night Live alum have been “getting used to the rhythm” since welcoming their daughter.
“It was really special for them to be home,” the source said. “They are getting used to the rhythm and are taking it all in each day and just enjoying getting to know their daughter. There have been a lot of firsts, but it’s been a very happy and exciting time for both of them.”

Hewitt confirmed that she and Davidson were expecting their first child in July 2025, sharing a series of photos on Instagram at the time. The post included a shot with Davidson and an ultrasound image.
“Well now everyone knows we had sex,” Hewitt joked in the caption.
