Elaine Hendricks was injured while appearing on “Dancing with the Stars” and was hospitalized.
The 54-year-old actress and her partner Alan Bersten had to miss Tuesday’s Halloween Night due to injury. Hendrix shared a video on Instagram revealing that he injured his ribs while performing “Defying Gravity” last week, “and just had a cramp today.”
“I couldn’t move,” he told fans from his hospital bed.
An emotional Hendrix said doctors advised him to take a day or two off before continuing to compete.
“I want to dance,” she said as she fought back tears, urging fans to vote for her. “I want to continue this.”
In the caption, Hendrix wrote that she was “shocked” to miss “Halloween Night.”
“We were so excited to share what we’ve been working so hard on, but you’re going to see a version of it,” she said. “With your support, we’ll be back in the ballroom next week. I couldn’t ask for anything more.”
On Tuesday’s episode of “DWTS,” host Alfonso Ribeiro shared similar information.
“She was injured this morning during rehearsal,” he revealed. “She is currently undergoing tests at the hospital.”
Bersten then appeared in the ballroom to share a heartfelt message for his partner.
“Elaine, I love you,” he said. “I’m so proud of you, see you soon.”
The duo was scored on their rehearsal performance, and the judges, including guest judge Cheryl Burke, gave them a score of 32 out of 40.
