This week, major photo shoots begin with “Real Nobody,” an indie dramedy by writer-director Alex Weiss starring “Grease” stars Didy Konte and Austin P. Mackenzie.
According to the film’s official description, “The “real Nobodies” tells the story of two lonely people who feel they belong to the most unexpected place. Joyce (Conn), a whimsical woman from the 70s, kicks out her spare room on a vacation rental website to Anthony (McKenzie), a young gay man who recently appeared from his family home. Connect and ultimately overcome their own emotional hurdles and embrace kindness in their own life. ”
Other members of the cast include Greta Quispe (American Fiction, New Amsterdam), Paul Lieber (Alias, Barney Miller), Will Chase (Stranger Things, Dopesick), Jason Veasey (Friendship, The Building’s Only Murder), Olli Haaskivi (Optenheimer, The Golden Age, Blue Blood).
Produced by Cody Lassen (“Summoning Sylvia”, “Umedent”), Trey Tetreault (“Shuttle the Tide”), and Wyse, the film is being filmed in Montclair, New Jersey
Lassen and Wyse were collaborating on the indie comedy horror “Summoning Sylvia,” which was previously theatrically released in 21 markets and theatrically released in 21 markets, which maintains 100% critical reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

Conn is best known in French for her work “Grease” and “Grease 2”. She can now be seen in the Fox medical comedy Best Medicine. She recently reappeared in the Amazon/A24 comedy “overcompensation.” She is represented by headline talent agencies.
Mackenzie is an actor and singer-songwriter across Broadway, television, film and music. As a recording artist, he has released four albums. He made his Broadway debut with a Tony nominated revival for “Spring Awakening,” and starred in Gus Van Sang’s ABC miniseries “When We Rise.”
Wyse is a co-director and writer of the GLAAD-nominated film “Summoning Sylvia,” co-director of the hit play “Cellinov. Barnes,” star of the daytime Emmy nomination series “Indoor Boys,” and the author of the offroadway musicals “Commercial Jingle For Regina Comet” and “Picking Speed.” As an actor, his Broadway credits include “Good Night Oscars” and “Awakening of Spring,” while his TV credits include “Elsbeth,” “The Master of Sex,” “The Iron Fist,” and “Death of Bored.” He is represented by CESD and bold management and production.
