A strange thing happened.
Alison Sudol has stood by Lily Allen after the singer released a scathing album about their mutual ex-boyfriend David Harbour.
The actress, who dated Harbor in 2018, had an apparent reaction to Allen’s Instagram upload last week promoting “West End Girl.”
When Grammy nominee Sudol (40) released the album jacket and song list on October 20th, Sudol commented, “🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.”
Social media users praised the “Dumbledore’s Secret” star for being supportive.
One fan wrote: “Alison has been there so she knows what Lily is going through,” while another added: “Thank you for your support.”
Representatives for Sudol did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Harbor moved from Sudol with Allen in 2019 and married in Las Vegas the following year.
Their breakup made headlines in February, and Allen filed for divorce last month, weeks before the record’s release. This suggests that the Stranger Things star, 50, had an affair during their marriage, without directly revealing his name.
In the poignant lyrics of “P-sy Palace,” Allen appears to accuse her estranged husband of being a “sex addict.”
On “Dallas Major,” she sings about a partner who “went astray” from an “open” marriage, which she details on “Tennis.”
The alleged “arrangement” worked as follows. “Be careful, don’t speak so openly / You had to pay / It had to be with strangers.”
Later in the song, Allen goes on to criticize someone named Madeline for having “feelings” with her partner rather than “just sex.”
The other woman, identified as Natalie Tippett, admitted in an interview with the Daily Mail over the weekend that she had “obviously” listened to the new song.
“I have a family and I have things to protect. I have a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter and I understand that this situation is happening,” said the 34-year-old costume designer. “It’s a little scary for me.”
Haber hasn’t mentioned the viral song yet.
But the Emmy nominee was photographed with Allen’s two children, Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 12, at Universal’s Epic Universe in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday.
Allen welcomed her children with ex-husband Sam Cooper while they were married from 2011 to 2018.
