Season 34 of “Dancing with the Stars” ended on Nov. 25, with Robert Irwin, Alix Earle, Dylan Efron and Elaine Hendricks competing for Len Goodman’s Mirrorball Trophy, but there were several key moments that weren’t shown on the broadcast.
Emotions were running high inside the ballroom as all the previously eliminated contestants were back and ready to cheer on their friends. But not everyone in the audience was in a supportive mood.
Carrie Ann Inaba was booed multiple times throughout the night as the only judge who really offered constructive criticism. The first time she was booed was when she told Dylan that his hands were a little flat after complimenting him on his progress so far. The boos got even louder after Robert’s first dance when she said, “There was a little… thing.” She couldn’t really come up with a comment, telling the crowd, “I’m sorry, but look, this trophy is what they’re fighting for tonight, and I definitely don’t want it to go to someone who doesn’t deserve it.”
Jordan closed out the first round with a paso doble, but afterward Carrie Ann said, “His attack was a little too strong,” adding, “I felt like we didn’t have it together at first.”

There were loud boos from the audience, and a member of the audience yelled, “She’s the queen,” about Jordan, but Carrie Ann didn’t hear the comment and asked, “What did she say?” Alfonso Ribeiro defused the situation by telling the judge, “Don’t worry about them.”
“I have to give Carrie Ann credit, because as a woman, it’s hard to really express who you are and what you do. So Carrie Ann, keep doing what you’re doing. I’m always on your side. You make me feel so much better about myself.”
During a commercial break, the show’s audience director took to the microphone to remind the audience that booing and cheering is fine, but “respect” is a must.
But most of the night was filled with joy. During one commercial break, Danielle Fishel was seen bringing Dylan’s sister Olivia a stuffed unicorn. The story behind it is even cuter. Last week, Daniela Karagach and Pasha Pashkov’s daughter took away Olivia’s stuffed unicorn. Olivia didn’t say anything about it, but Daniel went out and found the exact one at Target and surprised her with it.
Once the show is over, the cast, troupe and crew, usually in the skybox or backstage while the results are read out, gather behind the cameras, ready to rush onto the dance floor once the winner is revealed.
Immediately after Robert and Whitney were crowned winners, Xochitl Gomez ran onto the ballroom floor and hugged them along with her family. Meanwhile, Alfonso and Whitney shared a sweet hug, marking the 11th anniversary of Whitney’s first win as partners. And they exchanged “I love you.”
Finally, during celebrations and interviews on the ballroom floor, the finalists were greeted by In-N-Out employees who made sure to take their orders before boarding their private jet to New York.
