“Cross” Season 2 will officially air in 2026.

As part of the show’s New York Comic Con panel, it was revealed that the second season of the Amazon Prime Video drama will debut with the first three episodes on February 11th, followed by new episodes weekly until March 18th. Amazon also released the first teaser for the new season. This can be seen below.

Aldis Hodge returns as Alex Cross, based on the character from James Patterson’s novel. The official logline for season 2 states, “Cross tracks down a ruthless vigilante group hunting down a corrupt billionaire.”

In addition to Hodge, the Season 2 cast also includes new additions Matthew Lillard, Janine Mason, and Wes Chatham, as well as returning cast members Isaiah Mustafa, Alona Tal, Samantha Woakes, Juanita Jennings, Caleb Elijah, Melody Heard, and Johnny Ray Gill.

“Cross” was developed for television by Ben Watkins, who also serves as executive producer and showrunner. In addition to starring, Hodge will also serve as executive producer. Sam Ernst, Jim Dunn, J. David Shanks, Aiyana White, Craig Sievers, Owen Shifflett, Patterson, Bill Robinson, and Patrick Santa will also serve as executive producers. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Paramount Television Studios.

“Cross” was renewed for a second season prior to the first season’s premiere. The series received positive reviews from both critics and viewers upon its initial release, with Amazon claiming that the show attracted 40 million viewers in its first 20 days of release.

The show began development at Amazon in 2020. Morgan Freeman previously played Cross in two films: 1997’s Kiss the Girls and 2001’s Along Came a Spider. Later, Tyler Perry played Cross in the 2012 film Alex Cross.
