Coco Jones returns to the Grammy Awards tonight after another strong year in the music world.
Jones wore a sheer nude corset minidress on the red carpet, a romantic look she intentionally chose. “I wanted to convey my inner love,” she told The Associated Press on the carpet. “Give me something flirty and a little romantic. That’s just the space I’m in right now.”
The singer is nominated for Best R&B Album this year for “Why Not More?” This nomination follows several previous nominations, including Best R&B Performance for ICU in 2024.
In a January 2026 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jones reflected on what it meant to him to receive recognition for his album. “There’s a lot more pressure on an album,” she said. “I think the meaning of labeling it that way carries more weight. So I know what the album means to me and what it means to my history as an artist, so it makes the whole category that I’m in even more special.”
Fashion often took a supporting role in Jones’ awards season appearances. At last year’s Grammy Awards, she wore a custom berry-toned dress with cut-out details, while her Oscars look featured a dramatic custom Coach design with a thigh-high slit and sweeping train.
Reflecting on his growth as an artist, Jones told The Hollywood Reporter, “I felt like I had two options: I could play it safe and do what I felt was expected of me and do what I’ve always done in a similar way. Or I really, really wanted to try out other genres that made me who I am.”
