Mediapro Studio has established the Cimarrón Banner office in Bogota, Colombia, to further expand its footprint in Latin America.
The move is strengthening Cimarrón’s commitment to the audiovisual industry in the region already active in Uruguay, Mexico and Argentina. It also strengthens the emergence of Colombia as a major production hub driven by robust incentives, competitive costs and an experienced talent pool.

Cimarrón’s first project in Colombia is Romcom’s “Atrápelo Quien Pueda” (co-produced by “Catch You Canif You”), co-produced by Mediapro Studio, US Hispanic network Telemundo, and Mexico’s leading Mexican exhibitor distributor Cinépolis. The film began photography in principal on September 29th, starring Jaime Kamil (Jane the Virgin) and directed by Alfonso Pineda Ulloa (Todavia Conmigo, es por su bien).
Federal producer director Julian Duquet, who brings nearly 20 years of experience in scripts, documentaries and advertising content in both Latin America and the United States, has been appointed business manager at Cimarrón in Colombia.

Cimarrón, who joined Mediapro Studio in 2023, provided the production service for Ja Bayona’s Oscar-nominated “Society of the Snow,” and most recently provided a remake of “The Kiss of the Spiderwoman,” starring Artid’s Equity and Directed, directed by Ben Awhleck artists Equity and Billdon.
The original production includes “Barabrava” (Prime Video). It won the Platinno Award for Best Ibero American Series of the Year. “Amsterdam” (HBO Max); and “Sentença” (Prime Video). On the film front, notable titles include “The Destructive Wind” by Paula Hernandez and “The Power Alley” (“The Power Alley” (“Levante”) by Lilajara, who won the Fiplesi Prize for the week of Cannes Critics in 2023.
