Cheryl Hines is no longer close with her “Curb Your Enthusiasm” co-star Larry David after the actress went full MAGA.
“Well, I haven’t talked to him in a while,” Hines, who played David’s wife for all 12 seasons of the hit HBO Max show, said Monday on the “Hot Mikes with Billy Bush” podcast.
The “Super Gatley” alum, 68, said she and the comedian, 78, “probably” haven’t spoken since attending the season 12 finale event last year.
“I love Larry, and I think he loves me,” she said. “I think it’s just politics and it creates a conversation.”
Page Six reached out to David’s representative for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
On Wednesday, the Daily Mail reported that Hines’ Hollywood friends were surprised by his shift from liberal to conservative MAGA views.
“She used to be so liberal that it’s very hard to wrap her head around it,” a longtime Hollywood friend of Hines, who is married to U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., told the outlet.
“And now she’s married to a member of the Trump administration and is literally defending his ridiculous statements on ‘The View,'” they added.
Hines’ friends are said to be appalled that the longtime Democrat is “now a Maga.”
Sources close to the “RV” star said it was “beyond comprehension” that she had turned into a fully supportive wife after publicly distancing herself from President Kennedy’s controversial views.
In August, the Daily Mail reported that Hynes had been “dropped” from David’s new HBO show, produced by Michelle and Barack Obama.
The series will consist of six half-hour episodes, and many of the stars of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” are expected to reunite on set.
However, the outlet reported that the Obamas were “vehemently opposed” to Hines joining the project, citing his political alliances with Kennedy and President Trump.
According to one source, Ms. Hines is now facing “the wrath of her beloved Hollywood’s cancel culture at the highest levels of progressive political power.”
“The Obamas are adamant that anyone politically connected to President Trump – whom they despise – should not be involved in their lucrative media projects,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“That will obviously include Sheryl. The worst thing about her for the Obamas — and for Larry as well — is that she has renounced her Democratic affiliation, calls herself an independent, and is friendly with Donald Trump.”
