Charlie Sheen and his 1980s ex-girlfriend Dolly Foxx are back together after spilling the beans about their past love in her latest book, The Book of Sheen.
A source told Page Six that the two have “been really close again” since he published his book.
And while the relationship isn’t a rekindled romance, they said, “it’s relaxing for him because he can be completely himself. He also trusts her because she’s the only person in his 40 years who hasn’t cheated on him.”
The reunited friends played Sheen’s “Alive on Stage” show over the weekend at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
He also planted Fox in the audience as part of the audience Q&A.
When asked by Fox if he would return to more serious roles after conquering comedy, Sheen replied that he would like to do a bit of both before changing the question.
“What do you want me to do? Don’t tell me you want to meet me in the hotel room later,” he said.
The fox blushed and replied, “I’ve already done it.”
“And we did very well,” Sheen retorted.
Sheen introduced Fox to the audience as “Dolly from the books.”
(It’s unclear whether the book inspired him to connect with Fox’s funnyman Bill Clinton, but he told the crowd that his “very special” friend is “true to both sides of her name.”)
Foxx, on the other hand, described Sheen as his “first love” and said, “I’m so happy to see Charlie back to being the person I fell in love with.”
“That was my first love. To see him so strong and really focused…and most of all, kind to himself. He was so self-destructive and it was hard to watch,” Fox added.
Foxx posted a photo of the pair from that night on social media and added the song “Wild Thing,” a nod to Sheen’s “Major League” character.
She captioned the photo, “Caught in the act of becoming friends for life.”
Sheen replied, “1987 has never been a better year!”
