Variety reports that Ed Weeks has been cast as one of the leads in the CBS comedy pilot “Eternally Yours.”
The single-camera show was to be piloted on the network in July, but CBS had originally opened a development room for the show in mid-2024. The show hails from Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, who developed the hit CBS comedy series “Ghost.”
The official Eternally Yours logline describes the pilot as “an eternal love story about two vampires who have been married for 500 years and their struggle to accept the human who is dating their daughter.”
Weeks stars as Charles, one half of the series’ central vampire couple. The character description reads: “Charles, a medieval aristocrat who now works as a pencil pusher, has to move with his family every few years to avoid attracting attention to the fact that he never ages. Charles despises modernity and its timid inhabitants, which is made worse when he learns that his vampire daughter is now dating her.”
Weeks’ best-known television role was as Dr. Jeremy Reed on the FOX/Hulu comedy series The Mindy Project, in which he starred through six seasons. He also starred in the Fox sitcom “LA to Vegas” and has appeared in shows such as “House of Lies,” “Dirty sexy Funny,” “The IT Crowd,” and “Not Going Out.” He has also appeared in films such as “The Leisure Class,” “3rd Street Blackout,” and “Drop.”
He is repped by Curate, WME and Yorn Levine.
“Eternally Yours” is expected to be filmed in early 2026. If it debuts as a series next fall, it would air alongside “Ghosts,” which was renewed in February for the entire 2026-2027 broadcast season.
Port and Wiseman serve as writers and executive producers on “Eternally Yours.” Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum and Jason Wang also serve as executive producers. Produced by CBS Studios.
