Billie Eilish’s 3D concert documentary will be released by Paramount Pictures, the singer revealed on Instagram Sunday night during the final night of her “Hit Me Hard and Soft” tour in San Francisco.
The film, co-directed by Eilish and James Cameron, is scheduled for theatrical release on March 20, 2026, from a Paramount production, Darkroom Records, Interscope Films, and Lightstorm Entertainment.
“This is one of my favorite tours and being able to film this and co-direct this film with (James Cameron) was truly a dream come true,” Eilish wrote. “I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
In July, the two-time Oscar winner and nine-time Grammy winner announced at a concert in Manchester that she was working on something “very special” where she would have to wear the same outfit on multiple dates with the “Avatar” and “Titanic” filmmaker.
“Basically, I can’t say too much about it, but what I can say is that I’m working on something very special with a guy called James Cameron and it’s going to be done in 3D. So take it however you like, and we’re going to be working on this four-shot series here in Manchester. Yo, you and I are part of what I’m creating with him. He’s somewhere in this audience, just saying. So, don’t worry about it, and I’ll probably be wearing this exact costume in a year’s time,” she told the crowd.
A year ago, Cameron’s Lightstorm announced a partnership with Meta to bring more 3D content from “big name IP” to MetaQuest headsets, including concerts.
Her previous films include the 2021 documentary Billie Eilish: The World Is a Little Blurry and the concert film Happy Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles.
