Billie Eilish is calling out Elon Musk, who is on his way to becoming the world’s first millionaire.
In a series of Instagram Stories shared on Thursday, Nov. 13, Eilish, 23, called Musk, 54, a “pathetic motherfucker.”
The statement came after she reshared an Instagram carousel originally posted by My Voice, My Choice. The first photo in the carousel featured an image of Musk, 54, with the text: “Elon Musk is now the world’s first millionaire. What can he do now?”
In the following slides, Musk proposed a series of ways he could help vulnerable people around the world. In one slide, the Tesla founder claimed that he could “end world hunger” and that he could “choose between spending $40 billion every year to end world hunger by 2030, or $140 billion to provide universal, safe, clean water to the planet for the next seven years.”
The next slide said Musk would pay $1 billion to $2 billion a year to “save endangered species” by lowering 10,433 endangered species to endangered status.

The final proposal read: “According to the EU, Mr. Musk could rebuild Gaza and the occupied West Bank for as little as $53.2 billion. The United Nations predicts this could amount to more than $70 billion for Gaza alone. If he wants to spread the wealth and provide more aid, he could also rebuild Ukraine and Syria for $793.2 billion.”
Irish’s statement came after Tesla shareholders approved a pay package that would make Musk the world’s first trillionaire. On October 6, 75% of Tesla shareholders voted to approve a compensation plan worth more than $1 trillion for the SpaceX founder, according to CNBC and Business Insider.
Musk will not be automatically paid because the package requires him to meet a number of business goals. Business Insider reports that he will require Tesla to increase its market capitalization to $8.5 trillion by 2035, sell 12 million cars a year, and deploy 1 million robotaxis and 1 million humanoid robots.

According to the pay agreement, the current billionaire would have to remain Tesla’s CEO for seven and a half years to earn equity from his new pay package. He will still be allowed to continue in his role as CEO at other companies, including SpaceX and his artificial intelligence startup xAI, according to NBC News.
Even as Musk is embroiled in political scandals, his wealth continues to rise. The soon-to-be billionaire has been embroiled in controversy over his political positions and his job leading the Office of Government Efficiency in President Donald Trump’s administration. In early 2025, protesters gathered outside a Tesla showroom to voice their opposition to federal budget cuts and right-wing political stances.
Musk is not the first wealthy tech company that Eilish has called out. On October 29, the “Birds of a Feather” singer won the Music Innovator Award at the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards, with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in the audience, who called out the billionaire in his acceptance speech.
