What happens in St. Barts doesn’t stay in St. Barts.
Bethenny Frankel revealed she suffered from an infection that left her with a large rash on her face while on vacation in St. Barts.
“POV: You left St. Barth’s 3 days early and brought home a bacterial infection,” she captioned a TikTok video on Monday that showed her with a large rash on her face.
“St. Barths Allergy #Goodbye,” she captioned the clip.
On Sunday, the “Real Housewives of New York” alum posted another TikTok video, fittingly saying she was “itching to get off” an island filled with people who are “too focused on where they should be instead of where they are.”
“If you go to the beach or a hotel beach club every day, it becomes a ‘Hunger Games’ of fashion and money. No one is just casually dressed,” she explained.
“I went swimming in the ocean and the paparazzi looked at me like a drowned rat because I wasn’t wearing haute couture on the beach,” the 55-year-old reality star joked.
She then detailed how the lunch at St. Bart’s was “bar mitzvah prices.”
“Twenty-year-olds were spending tens of thousands of dollars, people were vaping. I didn’t want to put my daughter there.”
Frankel chose it as the destination for a mother-daughter trip with her 15-year-old daughter Brynn because she enjoyed vacationing there in 2023, but she said this year was “different.”
“I felt like a bad parent because I didn’t want her to think this was the reality. To me, that’s not a good value system.”
“I started feeling anxious the moment I arrived. I didn’t feel like I made a good choice for me or for Bryn,” Frankel admitted. “I didn’t want to be there. I just had a bad feeling the whole time.”
After hearing the “very sad news that my friend had passed away,” she packed up her belongings in the middle of the night and left on New Year’s Day with mother and daughter.
“Don’t believe everything on social media… #yourewelcome #stbarths,” she captioned the post, apparently referring to the many A-listers who were partying on a megayacht in St. Barts during the holidays.
Last week, celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio, Heidi Klum, Natalie Portman and Camila Cabello were spotted sunbathing on the island.
In addition to many star-studded parties, it looks like some new romances have blossomed in St. Barts as well.
