Benny Blanco’s mother, Sandra Levine, was involved in a horrific robbery at her Studio City, Calif., home this week, barricading herself in the bathroom during the break-in, police said.
ABC7 reported that the robbery occurred around 9:15 p.m. local time on Monday, November 24, when three men broke into her home where she was alone. The men appear to have broken in by breaking the sliding glass door. Levin ran upstairs when he heard the noise, locked himself in the bathroom and called 911 for help, the newspaper reported, citing Los Angeles police.
The victim’s name has not been identified, but neighbors and property records confirmed it was Levin’s home, ABC7 reported. She allegedly told police that the suspects kicked in the bathroom door during the robbery.
When police arrived, the suspects had already left the home and were still at large. They were wearing black clothing and masks when they entered the home, according to NBC Los Angeles.
Police said Blanco’s mother was unharmed in the incident, but several rooms in her home were “ransacked” and unspecified property was stolen from the residence, ABC7 reported.
PEOPLE has reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department and Blanco’s representatives for comment on the incident.

Blanco, 37, has been open about his close relationship with his mother over the years. In a 2024 interview with PEOPLE, he described her as his “best friend.”
“Every Sunday we go to the farmers market. I make her lunch, we swim, and we gossip,” he said. “She sends me things and she’s like, ‘Do you think that’s true?'” Like, “I don’t even know who these two people are talking about.” ”
Levin has also been very supportive of Blanco’s relationship with his new wife Selena Gomez, whom he married in September. In fact, Blanco’s mother is such a big fan of Gomez that she even wears a special memento of the couple around her neck.

Blanco, born Benjamin Levin, is the youngest of two children of Sandra and ex-husband Andrew Levin, and is joined by her older brother Jeremy, 37.
