Becca Tobin doesn’t support Hilary Duff’s husband Matthew Koma’s decision to join his mother’s group drama.
The Glee alum, 39, spoke out about Ashley Tisdale French’s “toxic” mom group drama on the Tuesday, Jan. 13 episode of her podcast LadyGang, and accused the Lizzie McGuire alum’s husband of being involved in the drama.
“Now, let me tell you, I don’t think there are any losers…To me, there are no losers in this group. There’s not one, except for Hilary Duff’s husband,” Tobin said on the podcast. “I think it’s really awful for a husband to step in and say something so trivial, especially since Ashley didn’t name names.”

Tisdale French’s recent personal essay, published in The Cut on January 5, details her decision to leave what she called a “toxic” mom group. She anonymously named the women in her former friend group in the article, and a representative for Tisdale-French denied to TMZ that the essay references Duff’s friend group.
“When a man inserts himself like this, it really rubs me the wrong way, and it’s just to get his attention,” Tobin continued.
Co-host Jack Vanek then said Koma, a musician, is known on the internet as someone who can “stir the pot.”
“He always inserts himself into things, so it’s not surprising that he would do something like that in a situation like any normal husband,” Vanek continued. “I don’t want my husband to do that.”

Ms Tobin went on to say that her problem with Mr Koma was that he publicly “attacked” Ms Tisdale-French.
“He said something about her being obsessed with him or whatever. He said something about her being obsessed with him and I think that’s very vulgar,” she said. “I’m going to be very angry with my husband whether or not I get along with this person. We had a falling out…whatever. When she’s down, he’s down.”
“I think it’s actually really awful for a man to comment on something like this. What he said about her is disgusting. I don’t like it at all,” Tobin added.
On January 6, Koma posted to her Instagram Stories a photo of herself propped up in a similar fashion to Tisdale French’s photo shoot for her essay. In the photo, she was seen sitting on a sofa next to a houseplant, wearing an all-black outfit with rose-tinted sunglasses.
Koma added the Cut logo and a fictional caption to the photo, adding, “When you’re the most self-centered tone-deaf person on the planet, other moms tend to shift their focus to their actual toddlers,” and a subheading that read, “Moms group tells everything through dads’ eyes.”

Tobin said she doesn’t know much about the inner workings of Tisdale-French’s former group of friends, but said there are both sides to the argument.
“This is where her life is. This is the moment of her life,” she said. “A young mother with a young child. Your world revolves around your child, so your world becomes your friend group. And I think that’s what she was just trying to do…and that’s relatable. A lot of women deal with this issue when they become mothers and navigate mom groups.”
“I understand why she did that, but what I don’t understand is that someone in her life told her that internet sleuths in America and around the world are so incredibly good that this article comes out and you’ll know within three seconds who you’re talking about,” Tobin said. “That’s very clear.”
