AI may be accelerating across the film world, but it won’t replace the technology, collaboration, and human unpredictability that define cinema. That was the message from Berlinale president Tricia Tuttle and International Film Festival of India (IFFI) director Shekhar Kapur, who warned that technology will reshape workflows long before they match artistic intuition. Platoon One Films has come on board as the distributor and sales agent for iconoclastic Indian filmmaker Q’s film ‘Deshlai’ (Zewel) and plans to release the project in multiple territories from February 2026.
