Ariana Grande is returning to the big screen for the first time in 10 years.
The “Thank U, Next” singer is set to star in season 13 of “American Horror Story,” which premieres next Halloween.
Ryan Murphy Productions announced the news on Friday by sharing a creepy promotional video on Instagram.
“Surprised, you thought you’d seen the last of me,” the video said, paying tribute to Emma Roberts’ Season 3 character Madison Montgomery, before announcing the show would return in October 2026.
Grande is set to star in the upcoming FX series alongside Roberts, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman and Jessica Lange.
Fans rushed to social media to celebrate Grande’s role in the project.
“Hello Ariana Grande?!” one person commented on the post.
“Ariana, what are you doing here?!???” asked a second person.
“Please let Ariana live stream multiple episodes,” one fan begged.
Some expressed excitement for Lange’s return to the series, as she has not appeared on AHS since Season 8.
According to her IMDb profile, Grande, 32, hasn’t appeared in a scripted TV series since 2015, when she played Chanel No. 2 in Season 1 of Murphy’s Scream Queens.
Grande famously began her career in Hollywood playing Cat Valente on Nickelodeon’s Victorious from 2010 to 2013.
She later reprized the role for one season on the network’s spin-off series Sam & Cat until 2014.
From there, she began pursuing a career as a pop star, taking on various small roles. (Her first studio album “Yours Truly” was released in 2013).
The “Side to Side” artist ultimately took a break from making music when he landed a role in 2024’s “Wicked: Part I.”
In the film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical, Grande plays Galinda alongside co-star Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba.
The film secured Grande a nomination for the 2025 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Although Grande didn’t win an Oscar, she did win several other awards for the role.
Grande and Erivo are also scheduled to appear in Wicked: Part II, which opens on November 21st.
