Apple introduced a new limited-time offer on Friday. New and returning Apple TV subscribers can sign up and get six months of the streaming service for $5.99 per month. This is a 54% discount off the regular price.
Special Black Friday offers are available on tv.apple.com from November 21st to December 1st. After the 6-month promotional period ends, the price increases to $12.99 per month. This agreement is not available to customers who are eligible for three months of free Apple TV with the purchase of an Apple device and to customers whose subscriptions are billed through a third party.
The deal comes after Apple TV (formerly known as Apple TV+ before the tech giant lowered the plus sign last month) increased its monthly price from $9.99 to $12.99 in August. This is the third price hike for the streaming service in the past three years.
Apple TV originals include the mind-blowing sci-fi series “Pluribus,” as well as award-winning shows like “Severance,” “The Studio,” “The Morning Show” and “Slow Horses.” Its movie lineup includes “Family Plan 2,” which was released on November 21st, and “F1 The Movie,” starring Brad Pitt, which launches on December 12th. The service will also have a lineup of children’s programming, including new and old Peanuts specials, and will also offer access to live MLB Friday Night Baseball games and Major League Soccer games (and next year, MLS games will be available to Apple TV subscribers at no additional cost).
Starting in 2026, Apple TV will be the exclusive US home of F1 racing under a five-year deal estimated to be worth $750 million.
