Ant Anstead is girlfriend Renee Zellweger’s biggest cheerleader.
The “Wheeler Dealers” alum took to Instagram over the weekend to praise the actress, who received a statue in London honoring legendary movie character Bridget Jones.
Anstead, 46, reposted a video of the statue unveiling on his Instagram Stories, captioning it simply: “Iconic.”
This is a rare relationship update for the two, who have been dating since 2021. The pair prefer to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, as they haven’t been photographed together publicly since early March.
The sweet gesture also came after Zellweger, 56, made several solo appearances over the summer while she was working in New York while her boyfriend lived with a wealthy divorcee.
According to the Daily Mail, Anstead was seen staying overnight at the Laguna Beach mansion of Julia “Jules” French, a 36-year-old cycling instructor who is reportedly divorcing her hedge fund founder husband James Hanna III.
Despite the appearance, a rep for the TV host exclusively told Page Six:
“His friend Jules owns another independent guest house and any suggestion that their relationship is not platonic is unacceptable and untrue.”
“Mr. Anstead and Mr. Zellweger are still together,” the representative insisted.
According to Daily Mail sources, Anstead took up residence there while facing financial hardship and was “looking for another rental property.”
While dealing with financial issues, Zellweger was busy filming Season 5 of Only Murders in the Building.
However, a source close to the Oscar winner told the outlet that Anstead is tired of them living together, despite having been together for four years.
The pair met on the set of Celebrity IOU: Joyride in the summer of 2021 and began their romance just days after Anstead finalized his divorce from Christina Haack.
Zellweger and Anstead were spotted packing on the PDA several times before finally going Instagram official in August of the same year.
Since then, Zellweger has bonded with Anstead’s three children. Amelia and Archie have ex-wife Louise, and son Hudson with Hark.
