Mumbai-based Studio Bro has partnered with Disruptor Studios on “Alyssa Carson: Ready for Liftoff,” marking the Indian AI film studio’s first U.S. co-production.
This nonfiction series follows 24-year-old space enthusiast and astrobiologist Alyssa Carson. Since she was three years old, she has been preparing to become the first human to set foot on Mars. The AI-powered production uses advanced technology to visualize the potential for human life on Mars over various time frames of 10, 50, and 100 years.
Developed in collaboration with Carson and a team of planetary scientists and AI experts, the series aims to explore the future of human space exploration by blending cinematic storytelling with scientific accuracy and AI visualization.
Studio Blo and Disruptor Studios, the companies behind Shekhar Kapur’s AI series ‘Warlord’, announced their partnership last month.
“This is India’s first AI-driven collaboration between an Indian studio and a Hollywood producer on an international TV series, and we are extremely proud of it,” said Dipankar Mukherjee, co-founder and CEO of Studio Blo. “At Studio Blo, our vision has always been to tell inspiring stories that transcend borders, and this project does just that.”
Chad Grulak, executive producer and founder of Disruptor Studios, emphasized the technological innovations in production. “Bringing Alyssa Carson’s mission to the screen would be virtually impossible without Dipankar and the team at Studio Bro,” he said. “Not only is this project groundbreaking in concept, it will prove to the entire creative community that AI is not a threat, but a tool for creating stories and scenes that were previously prohibitively expensive to produce.”
This partnership represents Studio Blo’s continued expansion into international markets, positioning India’s AI technology as a bridge between local innovation and global storytelling.
